PATRICIA EYAMBA has a Master’s Degree in Development Practice from University of Winnipeg, a Master’s Degree in Business Administration in Nigeria, and a professional diploma in environmental education and community development from the United Kingdom. Since immigrating to Canada in 2013, she has helped to develop settlement programs in Winnipeg. As an environmentalist, she worked with environmental NGO’s delivering community-based forest management workshops to communities in Nigeria. She has also published research on training needs assessments, HIV/AIDS, reproductive health, and non-timber forest products.

Patricia’s work is founded on deep values of respect, dignity and human rights. She believes a community is at its best when it allows for every voice to be heard, and she has devoted her life to advocating for new immigrants, indigenous people, and young families. She lives in Winnipeg with her husband and her teenage son.
